Macduff Ship Design celebrated 25 years of successful business with a lunch held at the offices and inviting the founding members of the company back to see how the business has progressed.
Pilot Vessel “Scotia” Performing Well
The recently handed over “Scotia” a Pilot vessel built for ABP Ayr Harbour has been performing very well, designed to be a capable pilot and harbour workboat. Below she is assisting a ship at the Ayr Harbour.
16.00m Tug Building
The 16m Tug building in Macduff Shipyards for Shoreham port has had the wheelhouse fabricated and will be ready for internal outfitting to start.
90′ Fishing Vessel “Atlantic Titan”
The “Atlantic Titan” a 90′ fishing vessel building in Vietnam by Shipbuilding Asia is progressing well with the majority of the steelwork fabricated.
High Commendation for “Scotia”
Macduff recieved a high commendation for their recently built vessel “Scotia” for ABP Ayr Harbour from the port authority themselves.
“We have been doing all sorts of things with her already, pilot duty, mooring assist in adverse weather. The boat handles very well and has very good sea keeping qualities, so far we have had no bother whatsoever we cannot praise her enough. The whole project has been a great experience start to finish and a tremendous peace of kit at the end of it.”
16.8m Workboat
Tor Marine has completed a 16.8m workboat based on the 14.9m general service vessels with an additional 1.9m lengthened section.
